How to get more bookings for Online Classes
Launching into live online classes is both exciting and a little daunting. You may worry that you aren't getting enough bookings or that they have been coming in too slowly.
As well as Obby's own marketing, there are a few things you can do to help!
Add regular dates for the next 3 months at least
Our results algorithm is based on a number of factors, and one is the number of regular dates you have available for students to book group online classes. So the more you add, the higher up you'll be!
As well as the results, we are more likely to promote classes with plenty of availability in our weekly newsletter to students, and across our social media channels and digital marketing.
Encourage reviews
Another factor considered in the results algorithm is the number of reviews left for an online class.
Make sure to encourage students to leave a review on Obby at the end of each online class. You can also include a note to encourage students in your Post-class notes that are sent out to each student 24hrs after the class.
Try different options and topics
It can be difficult to predict what topics go down better than others during a live online class.
Try adding a number of different basic online classes to test the water with different topics and ways of teaching. You may also want to test whether the same class is more popular if materials are included and sent out by you, or if they can use what they've got at home.
Optimise your online class
Review your class pages and make sure you've followed our tips for the perfect class > Here.
Make sure the instructions for the online class are clear. Students like to know what they may need and/or how to best prepare for the online class. By reducing the questions left unanswered, you're more likely to get bookings.
Reduce the price
Offering inexpensive basic online classes are a good way to build a student base who will hopefully come back and book different and follow-on online classes with you.
Also think about the earnings possible, 8 students at £15pp is better than 3 students at £30pp. Experiment with different prices and see what works for you.
Recommend different and follow-on online classes
Use your Post-class notes to link to other online classes you offer and suggest ones you think would be the best follow-on!
Share your online classes
We do all we can to market your classes, but you can help us by sharing to your following.
Send the URL link for your online class on Obby to those on your mailing list, put the link in your Instagram bio and shout about it in your stories and posts. Tweet the link to your online class and share on Facebook - the possibilities are endless!
