How do I add a new Obby class?
So, you have logged in, now it's time to add your first class - exciting! However you first need to make sure that your profile is up to date. If you have not yet already done this, then click on the button below and follow the instructions.
So, your profile is up to date? Great, now to add a class! Select 'Classes' on the navigation bar at the left of the page and then select 'Add new'.
In-person & Online classes:
-
You will need to choose your class type; Class, Termly, or Course. If your class/workshop runs over more than one day then it is a course. If you want a course but with an optional trial, try Termly.
-
Then add the title. Make sure that this is spelt correctly and is written with uppercase letters in the correct places. Do not capitalise the entire title.
-
Obby hosts who fill in a detailed description see higher conversion rates with our customers, so make sure to add every little detail (it helps in the long run).
-
You will need to choose your Category and Subcategory. Once saved you cannot change this, so make sure you get it right first time!
-
Pick your Standard ticket pricing - more tickets can be added later!
-
Choose a cover image. Check the Obby Image Guidelines to make sure your images are correct.
-
Now pick some Public keywords; these help with search engine optimisation.
Online classes:
Make sure to tick "This class will be held exclusively online" if the class is online.
Now press 'Create Class'.
You'll be able to see the following screen. This is your Class management screen.
In order to publish the event, you will need to add some dates, and if the event is online, complete the online details section. We also recommend completing some of the other sections.
Notes & Auto-Emails
'Pre-class notes' should be filled in now, as they appear in the Obby Classroom which your student will access upon booking.
Your 'Post-class notes' can be left until another time. These notes are sent to the customer along with a review link, asking the customer to leave you a review for the
class.
Online Event Details
These will need to be completed if the event is online. You can specify what your customers will learn and what they need to bring.
Dates & Times
Classes - Add recurring sessions or a singular class.
Termly - Add a term. These are dates bound together.
Course - Add Courses dates. Likewise, these are bound together.
Private Sessions
If you want your class to have open availability, head to the 'Tickets & Pricing' Tile. We sometimes call this 'Flexitime'.
This feature allows your class to be bookable at any time. You can select which days of the week and times you are usually free to run a class. Customers can then request to book your class within your preferred days/times.
You can also enable flexitime if you have timetabled dates for your class, to allow for private or group bookings.
Please note, this is only available on the 'Class' type, not Courses or Terms.
